Group Work

When it comes to setting up group work, it isn’t always as clear cut as it can seem. In order for your students to get the most out of their group activities you need to make sure that you are providing them with the right tools and even the proper group partners in order to make sure that the work is going to be done properly. If you are using separate rooms for group work, you have to make sure to check on each one of the rooms and make sure that your students are all getting the proper interaction with each other. First, you should make sure that you provide your students with clear goals and instructions for group work in the lesson. Then put them in their groups and assign them to their separate rooms or the order that the groups will speak in. Then have your students perform the assigned task or goal. Finally, give feedback and help to any students who need it.
