Teaching English Abroad
You can expect to learn what it means to be an English teacher in a foreign country. In addition, you will also learn about expectations of the school, the learner, and the teacher.
Student Feedback
You will learn about ways to go about giving your students feedback and correction when they make errors. In addition to this, you will also learn about student motivation and testing in the classroom.
Teaching for your own Business
You can expect to learn about starting your own business for teaching online. In addition, you will also learn about ways to set up your business and compare it to the alternative of working for a company.
Lesson Plans
We will discuss how to go about planning for each of your online classes, from big to small. In addition we will discuss activities that can be done in online classes and how to go about meeting the time requirements for each class.
Planning Classes
You will learn about planning each of your classes from the start to the finish of each one. There is also a focus on making lessons quickly and easily as well as a template and advice for making lesson plans.
Teaching Skills
This module and block will focus on teaching the key concepts of learning a language in the classroom, which are: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Phonics is also included in these skills in our course.
Working for a Company
You will learn about working for a teaching company for teaching online. In addition, you will also learn about the details of company work and be able to compare it to the alternative of teaching for your own business.
Building Language Skills in Online Classes
We will focus on building the core skills of students in your classes from young to older students. We discuss phonics, reading, writing, listening, and speaking and how to go about teaching them with different approaches in online classes.
Classroom Etiquette
You will learn about everything that usually goes on in an English teaching classroom. This will include things such as organization, seating, motivation, native language, and problems in the classroom.
Preparing for Jobs
Something that almost no TEFL Certification course offers is actually helping you with information and knowledge about going abroad. Our course gives you advice and information about contracts, going abroad, and looking for jobs.
Choosing the Right Program
You will learn about the programs that are available to online teachers for online lessons and about the advantages and disadvantages of each program. In addition we will also talk about other available resources online.
Group Work and Error Correction
We will discuss group work in your classes online and the place that it can have in classes that you are teaching online. In addition to that we will also discuss error correction, which is not exactly the same in online courses as it is in a physical classroom.
